Rawalpindi vs Islamabad United: In the 12th match of Pakistan Super League 2026 played at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Islamabad United defeated Rawalpindi team by 7 wickets. Sameer Minhas became the hero of this match who turned the match in his team’s favor by scoring 70 runs. He got the title of Player of the Match for this explosive innings.
Rawalpindi’s bad batting

Rawalpindies had a very bad start, from their side Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Khan returned to the pavilion cheaply after scoring just 2 runs each. Islamabad United won comfortably
Chasing the target of 157 runs, Islamabad United made a great start, there was a partnership of 58 runs between the two opening partners. Devon Conway (6) stood at one end and on the other side Sameer Minhas played a brilliant inning of 70 runs in 36 balls with the help of 7 fours and 4 sixes. After this Mohammad Faiq contributed 19 runs. In the end, the remaining task was completed by Haider Ali by scoring 26 runs and Mark Chapman by scoring 24 runs. Both of them took their team to 157/3 in just 14.2 overs. With this victory, Islamabad team has reached second position in the points table with 5 points, Karachi Kings are currently ahead of them.
