“Do you want to bulldoze my house?”… Naseemuddin Siddiqui counterattacks in Gorakhpur, claims to form SP government in 2027

Shiv Shankar Savita- During a private program organized in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, senior Samajwadi Party leader and former cabinet minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui adopted a sharp but restrained stance while answering media questions. When he was asked to react to the statement given by ruling party leader OP Rajbhar, he said, “Do you want to run bulldozers on my house? The question should be to the ruling party, we are in the opposition.” Actually, Siddiqui had come on Saturday evening to attend a program organized by ‘Bharatiya Sarva Dharma Ekta Samiti’ as the chief guest. During this, the media asked him that OP Rajbhar was calling him “traitor cartridge”. On this, Siddiqui avoided a direct counterattack and said that he has known Rajbhar for a long time and his way of giving statements is different.

I know how to answer but my upbringing and values do not allow it – Siddiqui

He said, “Rajbhar was earlier in BSP, he can say anything to anyone. I also know how to answer, but my upbringing and values do not allow it.” This statement of Siddiqui is being seen as an attempt to maintain political decorum, although the sarcasm at the ruling party was clearly visible in his words. Siddiqui also made a big claim regarding the 2027 assembly elections. He said that at present there is a Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state, hence questions should also be asked to them. “At present there is neither SP nor BSP government. BJP is in power, the accountability also lies with it,” he said. Along with this, he expressed confidence that Samajwadi Party will form the government with full majority in the 2027 elections.

Also expressed his opinion on the issue of former minister Azam Khan

The former minister also expressed his opinion on the issue of Azam Khan. He said that Azam Khan is a big and experienced leader, and no one can replace him. This statement of Siddiqui shows respect for senior leaders within the party. Talking about his political journey, Siddiqui made it clear that now he completely stands with the socialist ideology. He said that SP believes in taking all castes and classes along. “We have organized events like Eid and Holi Milan together. Till now we have organized such events at 52 places and will continue to do so,” he said. It is noteworthy that Siddiqui’s name had surfaced in the NRHM scam during the BSP government, due to which he had to go to jail. However, now he is playing a new political innings with SP and is calling himself completely dedicated to socialist ideology.
