PSL 2026 Points Table: Steven Smith led the charge with his maiden PSL fifty as Multan Sultans cruised to a six-wicket win over Quetta Gladiators at Gaddafi Stadium.

Chasing 167, Multan made their intentions clear early. Smith and Sahibzada Farhan tore into the attack, racing to 63 runs in just four overs and bringing up their fifty stand in only 3.2 overs. The Sultans finished the powerplay at 83/1, matching their best six-over total this season, effectively putting the game beyond Quetta’s reach.

With the target reduced to a run-a-ball equation, the chase became straightforward. Smith’s dismissal—following a sharp relay catch involving Rilee Rossouw—did little to change the course, as Shan Masood anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 40 to seal the win comfortably.

Earlier, Multan’s spin-heavy strategy proved decisive. Opting to bowl spin from both ends after the powerplay, they exploited Quetta’s vulnerability against turn. Arafat Minhas impressed with the ball, while Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with three wickets. Early strikes removed Khawaja Nafay and Shamyl Hussainthough Saud Shakeel and Hasan Nawaz rebuilt with a 55-run stand.

Shakeel top-scored with a steady 56, while late contributions from Bevon Jacobs and Ahmed Daniyal pushed Quetta to a respectable total. However, the dominance of Multan’s spinners—who bowled 16 overs and took all six wickets—ensured control throughout the innings.

The victory marked Multan’s third win in four games, lifting them back to the top of the table.
