Big change in points table after RCB’s big win over CSK
Delhi: In the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 played on April 5 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 43 runs. With this win, RCB registered its second consecutive win in the tournament, while Chennai had its third consecutive defeat.

Batting first after losing the toss, RCB made a huge score
After losing the toss and coming to bat first, Bengaluru team batted strongly and scored a huge score of 250 runs after losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. Tim David performed brilliantly in the team’s innings. He played an unbeaten stormy inning of 70 runs with the help of 8 sixes and 3 fours in just 25 balls.
Apart from this, Devdutt Padikkal scored 50 runs, captain Rajat Patidar contributed unbeaten 48 runs, while Phil Salt also strengthened the team by scoring 46 runs.
CSK’s efforts remained ineffective
Chennai team, which came to chase the huge target of 251 runs, looked under pressure from the beginning and ultimately got all out for 207 runs in 19.4 overs. For CSK, Sarfaraz Khan played a struggling inning of 50 runs in 25 balls, but it was not enough for the team to win.
Great performance by RCB bowlers
For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 important wickets for 41 runs. At the same time, Jacob Duffy and Krunal Pandya confirmed the team’s victory by taking 2-2 wickets.

IPL 2026 points table: RCB, RR and DC take lead
After the initial matches of IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have performed brilliantly and topped the points table. RCB has won both the matches and occupied the first position in the table with a net run rate of +2.501.
Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are also at second and third position respectively with 2-2 wins. Punjab Kings (PBKS) also placed fourth in the points table with a 2-0 win.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in last place with three consecutive losses. The performance of other teams has been mixed, with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) also struggling.
