Gmail Tips- If you have sent a wrong e-mail, then do not panic, this trick of Gmail will undo it in seconds, know the method.
Friends, in today’s modern era, email has become an essential part of both professional and personal communication. Whether you’re sending important office documents or simple messages, a small mistake—like attaching the wrong file or typing the wrong recipient’s name—can happen in seconds. But do you know that Gmail has a smart feature called ‘Undo Send’, which gives you an instant chance to correct these mistakes, let us know about this feature-
What is Gmail’s ‘Undo Send’ feature?
The ‘Undo Send’ feature in Gmail acts as a safety buffer. When you press the ‘Send’ button, the email is not sent immediately. Instead, it remains paused for a few seconds. During this short time, an option to ‘Undo’ appears on your screen.
If you click ‘Undo’, the email immediately pauses and returns to your Drafts, so you can edit the message.
Prevents accidentally sending emails
Gives a little time to withdraw after clicking ‘Send’
Allows editing of emails before they are fully delivered
Works on both desktop and mobile devices
Increase Undo time for better control
Typically, the Undo time is quite short, which may not always be enough. However, you can easily increase this time by going to Gmail’s settings.
Settings →
Go to Undo Send, and select a longer period of time to cancel.
Choosing the maximum time ensures that you have plenty of time to catch and fix any mistakes without panic.
Works easily on mobile devices
When you send an email using the Gmail app, a small notification appears at the bottom of the screen with a ‘Sent’ message and an ‘Undo’ option.
If you spot a mistake right away, simply tap ‘Undo’ to stop the email. Remember, this option is only available for a few seconds—once the time expires, the email is sent forever.
