Woman burnt alive for Refusing Marriage, dies after being burnt alive in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, was set on fire by pouring kerosene on her refusal to marry


Kolkata. A 30-year-old woman who was burnt alive in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, has died. The woman was admitted to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata after the incident of being burnt alive. The accused of burning it has been arrested. This person is accused of pouring kerosene on the woman and setting her on fire near Ganga Sagar Maidan in Eden Gardens area. This incident happened around 4 pm on April 3. The accused has been identified as Siddharth Chariwal. He has been sent to jail.

According to news channel Aaj Tak, the mother of the deceased says that her daughter was called to Ganga Sagar Maidan on the pretext of an interview. When he called his daughter on the evening of the incident, a Kolkata Police officer picked up the phone and informed that the daughter had been burnt alive. She was 90 percent burnt. The mother of the deceased says that the accused was pressurizing her daughter to marry him, but due to different religions, she refused to marry him. Before her death, the woman gave a statement to the police that Siddharth poured kerosene on her and burnt her. On the basis of his dying declaration, Kolkata Police has arrested Siddharth Chariwal from Beliaghata area. His bail application was rejected by the court on Saturday.

Earlier in Kolkata, there was an incident of rape and murder of a female doctor in RG Kar Hospital. Apart from this, a law college student had alleged rape. Incidents of crime against women have already happened in many other districts of West Bengal. After every incident, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has said that such cases will be stopped by taking more strictness. Even Mamata Banerjee had once advised that girls should not go out after 8 pm. That statement of Mamata Banerjee was widely condemned. Now in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, another woman lost her life after becoming a victim of a heinous crime.
