‘Chand Mera Dil’ finally gets release date
Karan Johar and his production house, Dharma Productions, have finally announced the release date of Ananya Panday and Lakshya starrer Moon My Heart.
According to the announcement, the romantic drama is on its way to hit theatres on May 22, 2026. With the release date they also shared some new posters from the film that feature the lead pair and their chemistry.
The movie got its release date after a long wait as it was announced back in 2024 and expected to hit big screens in 2025; the release date has been pending since then.
Release and Teaser announcement
Taking to Instagram, the 53-year-old producer shared some posters with the caption, “A love story where…life happens faster than love. Chand Mera Dil in cinemas 22nd May, 2026.”
In another post, he also announced that the teaser will be out tomorrow on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with the caption, “A story that breaks, heals and redefines the notion of being ‘paagal’ in love.”

The visuals show the two leads together and give a basic idea of the film’s tone. The text on the posters reads, “Falling in love is easy. Growing up is not. When life changes the syllabus… When love grows faster than life…Not every first love gets a second chance,” which points to a coming-of-age love story.
Fans were thrilled to see the posters and expressed their excitement for the movie. “Can’t wait for this,” wrote one fan, while another one commented, “Looks beautiful.” A third comment read, “Waiting eagerly for the new duo,” while another comment read, “Thank God I need a love story on the big screen.”
On Sunday, Karan shared a new poster of Moon My Heart on Instagram, and hinted at the announcement by writing, “See you tomorrow at 11AM to meet our Aarav & Chandni!” This sparked curiosity among fans who were speculating that he might announce the release date or drop the film’s teaser tomorrow.
