Father files case against Khalasi for son’s murder

Sultanpur. An FIR has been registered in the case of the dead body of a driver found in a truck on the side of the highway in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The father of the deceased driver has filed a case of murder against the helper present in the truck. In the post-mortem, three marks of sharp weapons were found on the head of the deceased.

The body of driver Pradeep Yadav, a resident of Prayagraj, was found in a truck parked near 400 KV in Payagipur of Kotwali Nagar on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway on Sunday. According to truck owner Sanjay Khatri, his truck was returning from Bahraich.

When the driver could not be contacted, they traced the truck through GPS. On reaching the spot, the driver’s body was found lying in the truck, he had been murdered. Injury marks were found on his head. The driver was on the Bihar-Maharashtra route for 15 days, so he also had some cash with him, which was found missing from the spot.

Police informed the family members of the deceased driver, the family reached Kotwali Nagar at night. Ram Adhar, father of the deceased driver, filed a written complaint against the truck driver Sanjay Sharma.

Additional Superintendent of Police Akhand Pratap Singh said on Monday that the deceased driver’s father Ram Adhar has filed a registered complaint against the truck driver Sanjay Sharma. On the basis of this the case is being registered.

The owner of the truck had told in his statement to the police that there was no passenger in the truck. Driver Pradeep used to work alone on the truck. At present the police is still searching for the clerk.
