Xavier Bartlett claims 2 wickets his first over against KKR: In the 12th match of IPL 2026, Punjab dominated the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders from the very beginning. Punjab team’s fast bowler Xavier Bartlett, who came to bowl first after losing the toss, shook the top order of KKR in his very first over. The batsmen looked completely helpless in front of his swing bowling.

A funny incident happened in the second over of the innings, which caught everyone’s attention. Finn Allen missed the scoop shot on the second ball of the over and the ball reached wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh. When Allen came out of the crease to take a run, Prabhasimran made a quick throw towards the stumps. But unfortunately the ball hit Xavier Bartlett standing in the middle. Although the injury was not serious, a light-hearted atmosphere was created on the field for a few moments.

After this incident, Bartlett increased his pace even more. He started troubling the KKR batsmen with his swing bowling. His balls were constantly moving outwards, which made it difficult for the batsmen to play them.

Allen tried to play a big shot on the outswinger, but the ball took the edge of the bat and went straight into the gloves of wicketkeeper Prabhsimran Singh. Allen was seen struggling throughout this over and ultimately fell victim to Bartlett’s accurate bowling.

KKR’s troubles did not end here. Bartlett also dismissed Cameron Green on the last ball of the over. Green did hit a four in the beginning, but made a mistake on the very next ball. He tried to play the ball away from the body, due to which the ball again went into the hands of the wicketkeeper. In this way, Bartlett turned the match towards Punjab by taking two big wickets in the same over.

The pressure on the team increased due to the dismissal of two important foreign batsmen of KKR within just one over. On the basis of this excellent start, Punjab Kings took a strong hold in the match.
