New Delhi. Indian Railways is going to make extensive changes in the design of its coaches to give passengers a more safe, comfortable and modern travel experience. Intensifying the work in this direction, the Railway Ministry has started the process of preparing new design coaches, in which special priority has been given to the comfort and safety of passengers. According to the ministry, through these coaches, not only will the quality of travel improve, but there will also be a significant improvement in the quality of rail services across the country.
In these new coaches being prepared by the Railways, the interior is being given a completely modern look. The seats are being made more comfortable than before, due to which passengers will feel less tired during long distance journeys. Better lighting and ventilation arrangements are being made inside the coach, which will make the environment more pleasant and clean. Along with this, mobile charging points, digital information display and other modern facilities are also being included, which will improve the experience of passengers.
Keeping in mind the hygiene and health of the passengers, there is a plan to upgrade the toilets of the coaches. These will be made cleaner, modern and easier to use. Bio-toilets and advanced cleaning systems are being implemented in many trains, which will improve the hygiene levels. In terms of safety, the new coaches will be advanced in many ways. Anti-telescopic design, better braking system and fire safety related features are being included in these. CCTV and emergency communication systems will also be installed in some coaches, so that quick action can be taken in case of any emergency.
According to railway officials, the new coaches will be high-speed friendly and capable of running at speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour. Technologies like modern suspension and disc brakes are being used in these, which will make the journey more smooth and free from jerks. Along with this, arrangements like better arrangement for storing luggage in coaches, facilities for disabled passengers and sealed gangways for safe movement are also being added.
According to the Railway Minister, Railways has prepared a sample coach in which all these facilities are being tested. After successful testing, these coaches will be installed in various trains in a phased manner. Overall, this step of Indian Railways can prove to be a big change towards improving the experience of passengers. In the coming times, rail travel through these modern coaches will not only become more safe and comfortable, but will also be seen reaching new heights technically.
