Scuffle with SHO; Badge also torn from uniform, case registered
The sub inspector was not on duty and had reached the venue with two people.

Police have registered a case against a trainee sub-inspector and two others for assaulting a station in-charge (HHO) on duty outside the venue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Thiruvalla. A case has been registered against Trainee Sub Inspector Krishna Mohan, posted at a police station in Thiruvananthapuram, and two others.
According to the police, the complainant Srilal Chandrasekaran is the officer in charge of Koduman police station. The incident occurred on the evening of April 4, when Modi addressed an election rally at the Municipal Stadium in Tiruvalla.
Chandrasekaran and his team were deployed at the entrance of the stadium, where they were controlling the movement of people. Police said that Mohan reached the venue with two other people. He was not on duty at that time. He was stopped by the HHO and his team, after which Mohan forced himself to go inside. A scuffle broke out when entry was refused.
According to the police, Mohan assaulted Chandrasekaran and also tore the badge from his uniform. Thiruvalla police have registered a case and started a detailed investigation into the incident. Police also said that the report has been submitted to senior officials and an internal investigation is also underway.
