However, Shashi Tharoor himself has come forward and termed this video as completely ‘fake’ and ‘deepfake’. He clarified that he never said such words in praise of Pakistan. After this video surfaced, Tharoor expressed his displeasure by posting on ‘X’ (Twitter). He wrote, “Many deepfake videos of mine are being circulated, in which AI-generated voices are being used to make me say things on old clips that I never said. It is extremely disappointing that people are believing these lies.” Shashi Tharoor’s real stand: ‘I cannot be happy’ In fact, Shashi Tharoor had questioned the ‘silence’ of the Indian government in statements given on March 26 and April 9, but he did not praise Pakistan.
