In an exclusive interview to IANS, Azar said, “We have not seen Pakistan directly getting involved in the war, but their role has not been positive. The US has made them a mediator for its own reasons. We are confident that the US will implement the 15-point plan.”
According to reports, the White House has made Pakistan a medium for a temporary ceasefire with Iran. Under this, Islamabad sent the 15-point plan prepared by America to Tehran and also sent Iran’s answers to America.
Azar said Israel now expects the Iranian regime to cooperate with the United States on a comprehensive peace plan after facing “existential threats,” particularly undermining Iran’s military nuclear program.
He said, “We are satisfied that our military operation has been completed and now diplomacy is being given a chance. If Iran cooperates on this 15-point plan, not only will it get relief but the entire region will benefit.”
The Israeli ambassador also warned that if Iran does not respect the ceasefire or procrastinates, Israel is fully prepared to protect itself.
Azar claimed that Israel has largely destroyed Iran’s ability to make nuclear weapons and has set its program back years. He said the situation would continue to be monitored until the enriched uranium was safely removed and enrichment activities stopped.
He also said that Iran’s internal situation seems to be weakening and cracks are visible in the ruling system. According to Azar, “There is a lack of coordination between the regime and security forces and this points to instability.”
