According to reports, Sanju was traveling from Kozhikode to Coimbatore and at around 5:15 pm, he stopped his car to make a phone call. At the same time, Shabarish, a cable technician from Kattampazhippuram, along with his friend Manikandan, were going to a field near Mangalankunnu to play cricket when they saw a known person inside a parked car.

Curious, both of them looked back to take a closer look and realized that it was Sanju. The cricketer, who was on a video call at the time, signaled him to wait. After ending the call, he chatted with her, inquired about her well-being and even offered to get a photo clicked with her. Shabarish took a selfie with his own phone, whose display was broken.

Seeing this, Sanju opened the back door of his car and gifted her a new smartphone, which was reportedly worth around Rs 30,000. After chatting for a while, they resumed their journey. Interestingly, this heart-touching moment has come at a time when Samson is going through a bad phase on the field.

The wicketkeeper-batsman has had a slow start in the ‘Yellow Jersey’. In his first three matches he has scored 6, 7 and 9 runs. His poor performance has also affected the team and his team has also lost three out of three matches.
