Jasprit Bumrah’s explosive performances in the 2016 season earned him a place in world cricket, and star batsmen like Abhishek Sharma and Ryan Parag are also products of the IPL. Similarly, in IPL 2026, some youngsters have wreaked havoc and won praise across the world for their strong performances. Here’s a look at the five youngsters who have impressed the most this season.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi
In appearance, he may look like an innocent 15 year old boy, but when Vaibhav Suryavanshi enters the field, he only knows how to hit big sticks. In IPL 2025, he scored 252 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of more than 200. In the same season, he also scored the second fastest century in the IPL. Maintaining the same form in IPL 2026, he has scored 122 runs in three matches at an explosive strike rate of around 249. When he faced Jasprit Bumrah for the first time, he stunned the cricket world by hitting a sixer on the very first ball.
Sameer Rizvi
Chennai Super Kings had bought Sameer Rizvi for ₹ 8.4 crore in the IPL 2024 tournament. He showed his potential as a promising batsman while batting for CSK, but he could not make any impact. After scoring 160 runs in two matches for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2026, Sameer Rizvi is one of the strong contenders to win the Orange Cap this time.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is with Kolkata Knight Riders from the 2024 season. In IPL 2025, he scored 300 runs in 12 matches. However, his start in 2026 suggests that this will be a breakthrough season for him. Raghuvanshi has become a key cog in KKR’s batting line-up. In the current season, he has scored 110 runs in just three innings at an impressive average of 55.
Harsh Dubey
Harsh Dubey, who played a key role in Vidarbha’s victory in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy, is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has taken four wickets in three matches so far. However, he has not got much opportunity to showcase his batting skills.
Prince Yadav
His lethal pace and accurate line and length were acquired by Lucknow Supergiants ahead of the 2025 mega auction. Last season, he played six matches, taking only three wickets and was very expensive. However, in IPL 2026, he performed better, taking four wickets in two matches and maintaining an economy rate of less than eight.
