Now the UAE is after Iran, saying – they attacked for 40 days, now pay for the damage.

Desk: Iran has included compensation for war damages among its 10 ceasefire conditions. Iran says it wants full compensation for reconstruction costs. Now, the UAE has imposed a similar condition. The UAE said on Wednesday that Iran should compensate for the damage caused by attacks in Gulf countries. It should be noted that Iran has been continuously attacking US interests in Gulf countries since the beginning of the war.

The UAE has also sought clarification on how the ceasefire will ensure Tehran ends hostilities and reopens the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “The UAE seeks further clarification on the terms of this agreement to ensure that Iran is fully prepared to immediately cease all hostilities in the region and fully and unconditionally reopen the Strait of Hormuz.”

The statement issued by the UAE said that the Iranian attacks require a strong response, including ensuring that Iran is held accountable for damages and compensation. In the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that over the past 40 days, Iran has carried out unprovoked attacks targeting infrastructure, energy facilities and civilian locations.

This included 2,819 ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, and the resulting loss of life and property requires a strong stance, including ensuring that Iran is held fully accountable for the damages and compensation.

The UAE has unequivocally stated that it is not involved in the conflict and has made extensive diplomatic efforts to prevent the outbreak of hostilities, including through dialogue and initiatives within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

The UAE also stressed that it has successfully defended its sovereignty, security, and national achievements. Furthermore, the UAE demanded that Iran fully comply with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), adopted on March 11, 2026. This resolution officially condemned the Iranian attacks and called for their immediate cessation.
