In this prestigious tournament with a prize money of Rs 1 crore, Khalin Joshi scored three under 68 (68-68) in the second round and took the lead with a total of six under 136.
Khalin Joshi, 33, hails from Bengaluru and is a former Asian Tour winner. He caught the attention of both the audience and the contestants with his performance on the second day.

Day one leader Dhruv Shouran shot one under 70 on the second day and slipped to second place with a total of five under 137. At the same time, 14-time winner Chikarangappa S on DP World PGTI. (Chikarangappa S.) also scored 70 and held the third position with a total score of four under 138.
Khalin Joshi played with strength and accuracy from tee to green on the second day. He made a total of four birdies and scored a bogey on the final hole. The playing conditions were challenging due to strong wind, but Khalin prevailed on the strength of her ball striking and mental composure.

After the second round, Khalin Joshi said, “Today was a very strong day. I played well from tee to green. The wind was challenging, but overall I am satisfied with my ball striking. Now looking forward to the weekend’s play. The biggest challenge was dealing with the changing wind, which I handled well.
The course’s par-5 seventh hole was converted to a par-4 of 477 yards this time, bringing the course’s total par to 71. Dhruv Sheoran had started with an eagle and had a three-shot lead till the 12th hole, but consecutive bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes left him in second place. Meanwhile, Viraj Madappa, Sri Lanka’s N. Thangaraja, Chandigarh’s Brushvarpal Singh, Akshay Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Dubai-based Indian Yash Majmudar are tied fourth with scores of two under 140.
The tournament cut was set at six over 148, with 52 players out of 130 qualifying for the final two rounds. Andhra Open 2026 is being held at East Point Golf Club (East Point Golf Club, Visakhapatnam) and is supported by Andhra Pradesh Golf Association (APGA).
