Tezzbuzz Desk- A big change is about to come in the politics of Bihar. Nitish Kumar will take oath as Rajya Sabha member on Friday, April 10, with which the process of change of power in the state will speed up. After his visit to Rajya Sabha, the way is considered clear for the formation of a new government in Bihar. On reaching New Delhi on Thursday, April 9, many leaders including Janata Dal (United) National Working President Sanjay Kumar Jha welcomed him. In a brief conversation at the airport, Nitish Kumar said that he has come for the oath taking ceremony.

He will be administered the oath of membership of the Upper House in the chamber of Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan. After this formality his tenure as Chief Minister will end.

Here, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can start the process of selecting the new Chief Minister of Bihar on April 14. It is believed that the alliance will soon decide on the new leadership.

Bihar government minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary has also confirmed that Nitish Kumar will leave the post of Chief Minister after becoming a Rajya Sabha member. He said that NDA government will be formed in the state and development works will be taken forward under the “Nitish model”, as has been happening for the last two decades.

It is noteworthy that Nitish Kumar has already resigned from the membership of Bihar Legislative Council. He left the council seat on March 30, while he was elected to the Rajya Sabha on March 16.

With this development, the politics of Bihar has reached a new turning point, where along with the change in leadership, all eyes are on the continuity of policies.
