Joining the club of Pollard and De Villiers

Before Mukul Chaudhary, this feat was done by Mumbai Indians’ Kieron Pollard in 2013 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, when he scored 57 runs in the death overs. Now after 13 years, Mukul has made his place in the special list of legends like Pollard and AB de Villiers. He has become only the third batsman to score 50+ runs in the last 5 overs in a successful run chase. Mukul also made an unbeaten partnership of 54 runs for the eighth wicket with Avesh Khan, which is a new record for the highest partnership for the eighth wicket in a successful run chase in IPL.

Power like ‘Bhaijaan’, left behind Russell and Bravo

Due to his ability to hit shots all around the field, Mukul has started being compared with the greats. By hitting 7 sixes in his innings, he has equaled power-hitters like Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo.
