Copying a scene from the movie ‘Kantara’ cost Ranveer so much that now this legal matter is not coming to an end. But now the actor has taken a big decision. According to reports, Ranveer is going to file a new apology in the Karnataka High Court. Know what is the full news…

Ranveer ready to give amended apology

According to the latest information, Ranveer Singh has told the Karnataka High Court that he is ready to file a revised apology in this case. His counsel, senior advocate Sajan Poovayya, submitted this before Justice M Nagaprasanna.

Ranveer said in his affidavit that his intention was not to hurt anyone’s sentiments. He also clarified that at that time he did not realize that his action could hurt the religious sentiments of people.

Will go to temple and pray
In his apology, Ranveer Singh also said that he will soon go to the goddess’s temple and pray. He will take this step as a way of showing respect and reverence for his mistake.

He said that he grew up in a Sindhi family in Mumbai and was not fully aware of some cultural sensitivities. For this he once again apologized unconditionally.

The complainant expressed objection
However, Prashant Methal, the complainant in the case, said that Ranveer’s apology did not completely reflect true remorse. He alleges that during the program Rishabh Shetty himself had hinted to Ranveer not to do mimicry, but despite this he did so.

At the same time, Ranveer’s lawyer assured that he will sit with the complainant and improve the language of the apology and present a new affidavit in the court.

After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court has postponed the next hearing of the case till April 23.

What is the whole controversy?
The controversy started during the IFFI event held in Goa on November 28 last year. Ranveer Singh had mimicked Rishabh Shetty’s character in ‘Kantara’ on stage, which created a controversy. During that time, Rishabh Shetty had also forbidden him from doing so, but the matter escalated from here.

Have apologized before too
Even before this, Ranveer Singh had apologized in this matter on social media. He had said that his aim was only to praise Rishabh Shetty’s brilliant acting and not to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
