Punjab News: Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian distributed promotion letters to newly promoted Revenue Officers at Punjab Bhawan today. Congratulating 14 Tehsildars and 13 Naib Tehsildars who received promotions on the basis of seniority, the Revenue Minister said that these promotions are a fitting recognition of the hard work and years of service of the officers along with further strengthening the revenue administration in the state.

Promotions increase employee morale

Addressing the officials, Mundian said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to giving the employees their rights on time. He said that transparent and merit based promotions boost the morale of employees and improve the efficiency of government services.

Responsibilities with concentration and dedication

The Cabinet Minister said that the promoted officers have been posted at one of the three preferred stations given by them, near their residence. He said the move is aimed at ensuring balance between work and personal life, so that officers can perform their responsibilities with greater concentration and dedication.

Encouraging active participation of regional officers, the Goods Minister also invited suggestions from the officers for further improvement in the functioning of the department. He said that feedback from the grassroots plays an important role in improving policies and ensuring accountable and effective governance.

Reiterating the employee friendly policy of the Mann government, he said that initiatives like strengthening the administration at the grassroots level will continue in future also. On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma also congratulated the newly promoted officers. He expressed confidence that he will make significant contribution to public service by discharging his responsibilities with honesty, dedication and professionalism. During the ceremony, Secretary Revenue-cum-Director Disaster Management Mr. Manvesh Singh Sidhu and other officers of the department were also present.
