“If attacks on Lebanon do not stop…”, Iran warns again before the peace meeting

Iran will not sit at the negotiating table if the attack on Lebanon does not stop. Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned in this language before the peace meeting. At the same time, he claimed, the pre-conditions that Tehran had placed must also be fulfilled.

Ghalibaf writes in his X-Handle, ‘Of the conditions we laid down, two conditions have not yet been fulfilled. First, an end to the war in Lebanon and the lifting of sanctions on Iran. These conditions must be met before the meeting begins.’ Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said the same thing. He clarified, our conditions are clear. America must keep its promises. Deadly war must stop in Lebanon.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance has already left for Pakistan to attend the peace meeting. “We are eager and hopeful for talks. If Iran meets in good faith, we are certainly ready to extend a helping hand to them. But if they try to deceive us, the outcome will not be good,” he said. He added, “President Donald Trump has given us some very clear guidelines. We will follow them. Let’s see what happens!” In this situation, Iran has practically created uncertainty about the peace meeting. Whether the meeting takes place in Islamabad on Saturday remains to be seen.
