Vinfast Limo Green Electric Taxi Spied Ahead Of Launch

Vinfast is a relatively new player in India’s automotive space. It is now preparing for the next big launch here- an electric MPV. The company also plans to enter the commercial vehicle / fleet space with this product. The private vehicle version will be called VF MPV 7 while the fleet version will have the name ‘Limo Green’. The latter has now been spied. It has also come to light that the LimoGreen will get a different logo.

Vinfast plans to launch the VF MPV 7 first in India. The LimoGreen electric taxi will arrive later. Gaadiwaadi has now published the exclusive images of the production-ready LimoGreen. The overall design appears to resemble that of the VF MPV7. Finer details and logo, however, differ between the fleet and private versions.

The publication has put out images showing the logo on the tailgate, steering wheel, wheels and other places. The VF MPV 7 gets the regular Vinfast logo- a sleek, stylish V. On the LimoGreen, however, we see a different logo- a thicker V with a bold dot at the centre.

At the rear, the logo sits on a full-width Piano black trim. The same logo is seen on the steering wheel as well. The front grille and alloy wheels will also have this logo.

Additionally, ‘LIMO GREEN’ is written on the lower right hand side of the tailgate. The company hasn’t yet revealed the LimoGreen’s design officially. It is expected to have clear visual differentiation from the VF counterpart.

The report also says that fleet-spec Limo Green will have a separate ARAI certification- specifying its commercial vehicle identity and will adhere to additional regulatory requirements. Inside, the feature list is expected to be toned down. There will be a sharper focus on passenger comfort and practicality. Expect 100 litres of boot space with all rows up and up to 515 litres with the third row folded. The version sold in Vietnam also has a ground clearance of 180mm. This may be increased on the India-spec.

The global-spec Limo Green measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, 1,723 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. These make it bigger and roomier than rivals like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and the BYD eMax7.

From the images released by the publication, the fleet-spec MPV will come with an all-Black cabin, while the VF MPV 7 will have a dual-tone interior colour scheme. We expect the cabin to come with fabric seats with adjustable headrests, cupholders, rotary dial, and a floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.

On the mechanical front, however, the VF MPV 7 and Limo Green will have a lot in common. They will share the same architecture and mechanical components. Both versions will ride on 18-inch wheels, albeit with minor design differentiation.

The VF MPV 7 is expected to deliver a range of more than 500 km (MIDC cycle). From what is known yet, the fleet version will also have a comparable range, and the same 60.13 kWh battery pack. This battery can charge from 10-70 per cent unjust 30 minutes on a 80 kW DC fast charger.

The front axle-mounted electric motor will make around 204 hp and 280 Nm. The Limo Green will come with six standard airbags and a number of other safety features.
