‘I don’t trust Pakistan’, says Israel in face of Iran-US peace talks

The Iran-US Peace Talks are going to be held in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad from Saturday. The future of the Middle East depends on this meeting. Before that, Israel expressed serious doubt about the role of mediator Pakistan. On Friday, India’s ambassador to Israel commented, “We don’t trust Pakistan.” The Israeli ambassador also claimed that America has been informed about their suspicions about Islamabad.

Israeli Ambassador Reuven Azar said, “We don’t trust the Pakistanis. And don’t think the Americans trust them either. It’s a simple mediator role, nothing more.” Referring to Pakistan’s role as a mediator in the talks between the US and Iran, Azar said, “Israel is optimistic about the US. Tel Aviv believes that the Americans will use these two weeks in such a way as to bring stability back to the region (Middle East).” Note that Pakistan has condemned the Israeli attack on Lebanon. Azar’s comments on this matter, Tel Aviv will do whatever is necessary for the defense of the country.

Meanwhile, before the Iran-US meeting, the whole of Islamabad has been wrapped in a blanket of security. Thousands of police and jawans have been deployed. Not only that, schools, colleges and markets have been temporarily closed. It is learned that private vehicles have been banned in the ‘red zone’ areas, i.e. where Parliament, important government offices, luxury hotels and embassies are located. A number of check points have been set up across the city to ensure smooth movement of delegates from the two countries. Armed police force will be present there 24 hours. Traffic in the entire city has also been controlled. Thursday and Friday have also been officially declared as holidays in Islamabad by the Government of Pakistan.

According to a report in ‘Gulf News’, a 30-member US delegation has already arrived in Islamabad to review the security arrangements. However, a section of American citizens are concerned about this meeting in Pakistan. In this context, former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said, “Pakistan is dangerous because the country’s government is not fully under control.” Multiple reports have again claimed that Islamabad is also securing its airspace before the US-Iran meeting. IL-78 refueling tankers and Pakistani fighter jets C-130 have already been seen patrolling Pakistan’s skies.

It should be noted that on Friday, Pak warplanes were also seen in the sky of Iran. According to sources, the warplanes have been sent there to provide security to the Iranian delegation. Pakistan will ensure that there is no attack on the Iranian delegation during their visit to Islamabad. Pak warplanes will be their shield.
