Dominance in Hindi: Struggle in the South, the real test for Dhurandhar 2 to beat Pushpa 2

New Delhi . An interesting competition is currently being seen at the Indian box office where on one side is Dhuranthar 2 and on the other side is Pushpa 2. Both the films have performed tremendously at their own level but now the real question is whether Dhurandhar 2 will be able to break the record of Pushpa 2 by creating history (2 Chronicles) or not. The current figures are making this competition even more exciting.

Dhurandhar 2 collected Rs 7.15 crore on the 22nd day of its release, whereas Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 10.50 crore on its 22nd day, that is, in the initial pace, Dhurandhar 2 definitely seems to be a little behind, but in terms of total earnings, this film is still standing strong. In three weeks, Dhurandhar 2 has done a great business of Rs 1048.42 crore, which is a big achievement in itself.

On the other hand, if we talk about Pushpa 2, it had collected Rs 1234.10 crore in 9 weeks, hence Dhurandhar 2 still has about 6 weeks left and it will have to earn about Rs 186 crore more to break this record. In terms of statistics, this target is definitely difficult but not impossible.

Interestingly, Dhurandhar 2 has left Pushpa 2 behind at the Hindi box office. The Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2 has collected Rs 983.79 crore in three weeks, while Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 812.14 crore in Hindi, that is, the dominance of Dhurandhar 2 in the Hindi belt is clearly visible and this is also its biggest strength.

But the real challenge is hidden in the South box office. Pushpa 2 had got tremendous support in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages, especially the Telugu version had earned a huge amount of Rs 341.48 crore. In comparison to this, Dhurandhar 2 seems to be far behind in the South. Its Tamil version had earned Rs 18.49 crore, the Telugu version had earned Rs 41.22 crore, the Kannada version had earned Rs 3.18 crore and the Malayalam version had earned Rs 3.18 crore. Has collected only Rs 1.74 crore, this is the difference that is keeping it away from the record

Now the question is whether Dhurandhar 2 will be able to fill this gap, its answer is hidden in the coming days because now a new challenge is going to come in front of the film. Bhoot Bangla is being released on 17th April in which the pair of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan will be seen together after a long time. There is a lot of excitement among the audience about this film and it can have a direct impact on the earnings of Dhurandhar 2.

Especially in the Hindi belt, from where Dhurandhar 2 is getting the highest earnings, if the new film attracts the audience to the theatres, then its collection may decline, in such a situation, the next 5 to 6 days are very important for Dhurandhar 2, this is the time when the film will have to earn maximum.

Overall, Dhurandhar 2 definitely has a chance to break the record but the path is not easy. Despite its strong hold in Hindi, weak performance in the South and entry of new films can become a big hindrance for it. Now it will be interesting to see whether this film creates history or Pushpa 2 retains its crown.
