During this period, a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20 series will be played between Zimbabwe women’s team and Pakistan women’s team. This tour is being considered an important step towards the development of women’s cricket and strengthening international experience between the two countries.

Under this series, the teams of Zimbabwe and Pakistan will face each other in a total of six matches. The ODI matches will exclusively be part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029, making this series even more important as its points will directly impact the race for World Cup qualification.

Zimbabwe Women’s Team’s match will be played in Karachi

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, all the matches will be played at the historic National Stadium in Karachi. This stadium has been a major center of international cricket for a long time and is now once again ready to host major matches of women’s cricket. The matches will be held between May 3 and May 15, while the Zimbabwe team will reach Karachi on April 29 and will take part in a few days of practice sessions before the series.

Currently, Pakistan women’s cricket team is at fifth position in the ICC Women’s Championship with two points. In such a situation, this series is a golden opportunity for them to improve the points table. Pakistan can get the advantage of playing in home conditions, whereas for the Zimbabwean team, this tour will be a great opportunity to test their ability in foreign conditions.

A Pakistan Cricket Board official informed that this series is also part of the preparations for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England from June 12 to July 5. Keeping this big tournament in mind, Pakistan team is working on strengthening its strategy, combination and match fitness.
