Alia Bhatt supports Riddhima Kapoor’s debut film release
As excitement grew around Grandma’s WeddingIndian actress Alia Bhatt showed support for Riddhima Kapoor Sahni ahead of her Bollywood debut.
Riddhima Kapoor had been set to appear in the upcoming film alongside her mother Neetu Kapoor. The project had been described as a family entertainer and was scheduled for release on May 8.
Alia had shared the film’s poster on her social media. Reacting to the announcement, she wrote, “Wohooo @neetu54 @riddhimkapoorsahaniofficial,” along with emojis.
The makers had also announced the release date online. In their statement, they said, “Daadi is breaking the internet — and the rules! Is the family with her or against her? Find out in Daadi Ki Shaadi, releasing on 8th May.”
The film had been written and directed by Ashish R. Mohan and produced by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios, and Shimla Talkies Production.
Earlier, Riddhima Kapoor had completed the shooting of the film and shared her experience from the set. She wrote, “Firsts are always special, because it’s those very ‘firsts’ that form the blueprint of learnings we will carry for the rest of our lives.”
She had added, “For 52 days, over 200 people came together to tell this heartwarming, funny, and beautiful film.”
Before this project, Riddhima had also appeared in a cameo role in the Netflix series Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives.
