Many women have accused him of sexual misconduct, which appears to be affecting his election campaign. However, Swalwell has completely rejected all these allegations and called them baseless.

According to media reports, a former female staffer has alleged that Swalwell forcibly had sex with her in the year 2024, when she was in an intoxicated state. The woman says that she protested, but despite this Swalwell did not stop. Not just one, but three other women have also made different types of allegations. One of the women alleged that Swalwell kissed her without permission at a bar and touched her inappropriately, while the other woman accused him of sending her offensive messages. 45-year-old Swalwell has called all these allegations false and politically motivated. He says that these allegations have been brought forward at a time when he is active in the election race, which raises questions about the intentions behind them. In a video message, he also personally apologized to his wife, but denied the allegations and said that he would present his case based on facts.
Swalwell’s lawyer has also defended him, saying that his client has had no such relationship with any staff member. The legal team has sent notices to the women making the allegations demanding that they withdraw their claims and warning that legal action will be taken if they do not do so.
Meanwhile, some senior leaders of the Democrat Party have started putting pressure on Swalwell. California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi have appealed to him to withdraw from the election race. At the same time, some people associated with his campaign have also resigned.
