Ranveer Allahbadia Shares ‘Silence Strategy’ Post After Samay Raina Row, Says ‘My Parents Are Proud of Me’
YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has shared a message on social media about adopting a “silence strategy,” shortly after comedian Samay Raina revisited the India’s Got Latent controversy in his stand-up special Still Alive.
The post comes in the backdrop of renewed attention on the 2025 controversy surrounding the show, where remarks made by Allahbadia had triggered widespread backlash, legal complaints and the eventual removal of the series from YouTube.
Without directly addressing Raina’s recent statements, Allahbadia shared an Instagram video reflecting on his personal journey and the challenges he faced while building his career. In the video, he spoke about dealing with criticism and doubt from people around him during his early years.
“There are a lot of people who try to pull you back, especially if you are ambitious,” he said, adding that such experiences shaped his perspective over time. He recalled encountering scepticism from acquaintances, including relatives and people he met in everyday settings.
Highlighting his current position, Allahbadia said he now considers himself an “established YouTuber” and emphasised the importance of self-made success. He added that one of his biggest achievements is making his parents proud. “My parents proudly say that we did not have to help him at all,” he said in the video.

He captioned the post “The Silence Strategy,” suggesting that ignoring criticism and staying focused is key to growth. The caption read, “The moment you start levelling up, the world will try to pull you back down. Your only job is to stay deaf to the noise.”
The timing of the post has drawn attention, as it follows Raina’s detailed account of the controversy in his recent special. In Still Alive, Raina spoke about the fallout from the episode featuring Allahbadia, including legal pressure, backlash and the eventual removal of his show.
Raina had also claimed that the controversial segment involved repeated remarks during filming, adding to the intensity of the backlash.

Despite the renewed discussion, Allahbadia did not directly respond to Raina’s claims in his post, instead focusing on a broader message about perseverance and handling negativity.
The India’s Got Latent controversy had earlier led to multiple FIRs and public criticism, significantly impacting those associated with the show and sparking debate over content boundaries in digital entertainment.
Allahbadia’s latest post has since circulated widely on social media, with users interpreting it as an indirect response to the ongoing discourse.
