Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Intra EV pickup in India, taking another significant step into the electric commercial vehicle segment. The pickup will be available at dealerships across the country at a starting price of Rs 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The new pickup is introduced as a more economical and eco-friendly option while expanding the company’s electric small commercial vehicle portfolio.
During the announcement in Mumbai, Tata Motors Managing Director and CEO Girish Wagh said the company’s focus on providing sustainable solutions for various business needs while strengthening the company’s commitment to green mobility.

The new Intra EV pickup offers a payload capacity of 1,750 kg and a load body of up to 10 feet 2 inches. Hence, the vehicle will be useful for various sectors like FMCG, e-commerce, cold-chain, waste management and milk distribution.
The pickup is powered by a 72 kW electric motor that produces 230 Nm of peak torque. This gives excellent performance even with heavy loads. Also, 23 percent gradeability makes the vehicle easy to drive even on difficult roads.
The vehicle is powered by an IP67 certified battery with a capacity of 28.2 kWh, which gives a range of around 211 km on a single charge. With the help of CCS2 fast charging, this battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 55 minutes.

Safety features like electronic braking system and three-level regenerative braking are provided. Also, Tata Motors’ Fleet Edge system enables real-time tracking and vehicle health monitoring.
Driver comfort features a walk-through cabin, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) and a low-noise-vibration drivetrain, which reduces fatigue during long-distance work.
Tata Motors’ strong network of over 25,000 charging points and over 200 EV service centers will provide extensive support for the vehicle.
