JD Vance says ‘Bad News’ for Iran as US leaves talks without agreement

Vice President JD Vance confirmed that the high-stakes US-Iran trilateral peace talks in IslamabadPakistan, have ended without any agreement.

In a clear and firm statement, Vance declared: “The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement. And I think that’s bad news for Iran much more than it’s bad news for the United States of America.”

He added that the US delegation clearly outlined its red lines — what it was willing to accommodate and what it was not — but Iran chose not to accept the US terms.

The US team, led by Vance and including Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushnerheld prolonged negotiations with the Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif actively mediated the talks.
