Sameera Reddy regret: Recently, Sameera Reddy has admitted in an interview that there was a time when she used to spend lakhs of rupees on expensive branded things. This is so that he can fit in the industry, which runs only on the story of show off. He told that once he had bought a bag worth about Rs 4 lakh.
The beginning of Sameera Reddy’s career and the pressure to ‘fit in’
For Ran Sameera Reddy, if she wants to look successful in the industry, she will have to keep up with the trends. In a recent interview given to Hotterfly, she told how wearing expensive clothes, using big brands and making herself look perfect on every occasion had become a kind of necessity for her. This was the time when the pressure of “what will people think” influenced his decisions. She felt that if she did not adopt this lifestyle, she would not be able to make her mark in the industry.
Shopping hobby or show off?
Sameera herself admitted that she was a shopaholic at one time. But this was not just a hobby, but was also the effect of the pressure he felt in the industry. Recalling a luxury purchase from her early days, she said that in 2005 she bought a Dior Gaucho bag. He felt that he should have every new and trendy bag. This was one of the first bags he bought. She says, “This purchase was more a part of the pressure I had to prove myself in the industry than a hobby. Today when I look back, I wish I had invested in gold at that time, it would have been a much wiser decision.”
The race to chase trends
There was a time when the trend of airport looks was growing very fast. Every celebrity was seen with big branded bags and stylish outfits. Sameera also adopted this trend. Referring to another purchase, he said that at that time there was a trend in the industry for big LV tote bags, especially for the airport look. Everyone was carrying such bags and because of this they also felt a lot of pressure. She thought that she too should have a perfect airport look, and with this in mind she bought that bag.

Goa proved to be the turning point of life
After marriage and children, and especially after settling in Goa, there was a big change in Sameera’s thinking. The calm and easy lifestyle of Goa gave him an opportunity to connect with himself. Now she prefers organic clothes and has distanced herself from fast fashion. Instead of big brands, they have adopted simplicity. She creates a new style by mixing and matching her clothes.
