Mumbai Local Train: A special local train will run on these 2 routes in Mumbai on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti

Mumbai Local Train | April 14 is the great man Dr. Birth anniversary of Babasaheb Ambedkar. On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, a large number of Ambedkari people flock to Chaityabhoomi and various other parts of Mumbai. In such a case, Central Railway has tightened its belt to ensure that Ambedkar lovers do not face any problem during their journey, they can travel comfortably and without facing any crowd.

The Railway Administration has decided to run four special local trains between midnight of 13th and 14th April 2026 (Monday/Tuesday). These trains will run on Main Line and Harbor Line. Both these trains will have CSMT-Kalyan and CSMT-Panvel route. Mumbai Local Train

According to an official statement issued by the Railways, the first special train on the main line will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 1:30 am on 14 April 2026 and reach Kalyan at 3:00 am. Whereas the second special train will leave Kalyan at 01:30 am and reach CSMT at 03:00 am in the return direction.

The first special train on Harbor Line will depart from CSMT at 01:30 AM and reach Panvel at 02:50 AM, while the second special train will depart from Panvel at 01:30 AM and reach CSMT at 02:50 AM. All other suburban services will run as per their normal timetable on 14 April 2026. Apart from railways, BEST will also run additional bus services from Dadar station to Shivaji Park and Chaityabhoomi for passengers on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. As reported by ‘Mid-Day’, these bus services will be available from 12:01 am to 10 pm on April 14, allowing Dr. It will be convenient for the followers of Babasaheb to travel.
