Display of power of goldsmith community in Lucknow, strong demand for political participation

Gorakhpur/Lucknow. Goldsmith organizations from different districts of Uttar Pradesh gathered on one stage in Ravindralay Bhawan located in Charbagh and demonstrated their unity effectively. A large number of people from goldsmith community from every corner of the state participated in the program. During this, the society gave the message that now it does not want to be limited only to the economic sector, but also wants to ensure its strong participation at the political level.

Voice raised regarding political stake

Addressing the gathering, prominent speakers of Sonar Samiti who came from different districts said that the Sonarkar Samaj has made an important contribution to the economy of the country and the state. Despite this, the society has been ignored in political representation. The speakers demanded from all the major political parties that the goldsmith community should be given proper participation in the upcoming assembly elections, so that the voice of the society can reach the House.

Active participation of Gorakhpur and surrounding districts

A delegation from Gorakhpur led by Sarafa Mandal President Ganesh Verma participated in the program, in which Ramji Verma, Mahesh Verma, Sanjay Verma, Chandan Verma and Vikas Verma were prominently present. Rupesh Verma, Shyam Sundar Verma, Vivekananda Verma and Shiv Verma from Sant Kabir Nagar also expressed their views. The presence of Ganju Verma and KC Verma from PPganj area was also noteworthy.

Crowd gathered from the districts of Purvanchal

Hundreds of people from many districts including Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar (Bansi) attended the program. The participation of a large number of people made it clear that the goldsmith community is now ready to organize and raise its voice for its rights.

All resolved to maintain unity

At the end of the program, all the organizations resolved to remain united and fight for their rights. Speakers said that if the society gets proper representation at the political level, it will play an important role in the development of the entire state. Besides, the strategy of movement on a larger scale in future was also discussed.
