Earthquake tremors in Hingoli, Maharashtra, tremors felt till Nanded-Parbhani

Earthquake tremors created panic among people in Hingoli district of Maharashtra on Saturday morning. The intensity of this earthquake, which occurred at around 8.45 am, was recorded at 4.7 on the Richter scale. The tremors were so pronounced that people in the nearby districts of Nanded and Parbhani also felt the tremors. Many people came out of their homes as a precaution.

There was no news of loss of life or property.

According to officials, there has been no news of any loss of life or property due to this earthquake. The matter of relief is that the tremors were of moderate level and did not cause any damage on a large scale. The local administration is keeping an eye on the situation and is ready to deal with any emergency.

National Center for Seismology (NCS) has shared detailed information related to the earthquake. According to the organization, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in Hingoli district at 19.533 degrees north latitude and 77.202 degrees east longitude. Its depth was recorded at about 10 kilometers below the ground. Experts say that earthquakes occurring at shallow depth are felt in a relatively larger area, which is why the effect of tremors was seen in the surrounding districts also.

NCS confirmed this by posting on social media platform X. It was told in the post that this earthquake was recorded at 08:45:23 am on April 11, 2026, whose intensity was 4.7 and its center was located in Hingoli, Maharashtra.

Administration’s appeal

After the earthquake, the administration has appealed to the people to be alert and not pay attention to rumours. According to experts, such moderate intensity earthquakes usually do not cause much harm, but it is always important to be cautious. At present the situation is completely under control and no serious incident has been reported.
