Pipri police action, wanted accused of Gangster Act arrested
Sonbhadra/Uttar Pradesh-
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra, as part of the campaign being run against crime and criminals in the district, the police station Pipri team, under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police City and Area Officer Pipri, arrested the wanted accused under FIR No. 66/2026, Section 3(1) of Uttar Pradesh Gang Bandh and Prevention of Anti-Social Activities Act 1986 today at around 11.04.2026. He was arrested at 11.55 and further legal action is being taken.
During interrogation, the accused revealed his name as Suraj Kumar Gupta, son of Ramnaresh Gupta, resident of Dibulganj police station, Anpara district, Sonbhadra, age about 23 years. The accused told that he had previously gone to jail in an illegal drug (heroin) case, due to which he was trying to run away after seeing the police. Case-Mu.A.No.-66/2026, Section 3(1) Uttar Pradesh Gang Bands and Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act 1986, Police Station Pipri District Sonbhadra is registered against the arrested accused. The arresting team included Inspector Crime Harendra Kumar Yadav, Police Station Pipri Sonbhadra and other police personnel.
