Asha Bhosle dies: Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and others pay tributes
Asha Bhosle, one of the legendary playback singers in Bollywood, passed away at the age of 92, leaving the showbiz industry in deep pain.
On Saturday night, the Indian singer was reportedly rushed to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai after battling a chest infection and exhaustion. She was later shifted to ICU after her condition deteriorated.
Her son Anand announced the passing of his mother Sunday afternoon.
Bollywood Reacts to Asha Bhosle’s passing:
Tributes have been pouring in over from across the world from friends, family and fans over the devastating news.
For Instance, King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan took it to social media to express his emotions over the saddening news.
Along with a photo, Khan wrote, “It’s truly sad to learn about Asha Tai’s passing. Her voive has been one of the pillars of Indian cinema and continue to resonate world over for centuries to come.”

King Khan further added, “A talent that will outlive many, she always showered me with blessings and love and I will mis her. Rest in peace Asha Tai. Love you.”
On the other hand, ace filmmaker Karan Johar also paid tribute to the Sharara singer.
“To say we have lost a legend today would be an understatement. Asha ji was unlike any other, a voice that defined not only one generation but across a span of cinematic universe!”

Johar further wrote,”I was and have been the massive fan of her voice, her art, her personality…Asha ji, your music will live on forever and we are blessed to experience the magic you have left behind forever! Rest in peace and power.”
On hearing the devastating news, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S star Sanjay Dutt penned a heartfelt note for the legendary singer.
Dutt penned, “Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Asha Ji. Her voice wasn’t just music, it was emotion, memory, and magic that will live on forever.”

“I had the honour of sharing a song with her and learning do much from her. An irreplaceable loss for Indian music. Rest in peace.”
