SRH vs RR: Riding on the victory chariot, Rajasthan clash with Hyderabad, who will have the upper hand?
There is going to be a very exciting match in IPL 2026 on Monday, April 13, where Rajasthan Royals (RR), who are on top of the points table, will face the struggling Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Rajasthan team seems invincible at the moment. With four wins in four matches, this team captained by Riyan Parag is proving its mettle in every department. The Royals will be eyeing to win this match and take another strong step towards the playoffs.
On the other hand, the journey so far has been full of ups and downs for former IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad team, which has suffered three defeats out of four matches, is at sixth position in the points table. The biggest challenge for captain Ishan Kishan will be to stop the bowling and batting attack of Rajasthan, which has not yet given the opposition teams a chance to recover. While Rajasthan is looking disciplined and balanced, the Hyderabad team is finding its rhythm.

If we look at the head-to-head record between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, SRH’s record is much better than RR. Both the teams have faced each other 21 times so far, in which Rajasthan has won 9 matches and Hyderabad has won 12 matches. The match on April 13 will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. Rajasthan has played 9 matches at this venue, in which RR has won only 3 matches.
Rajasthan powerful in every department
The biggest secret of Rajasthan’s success is their opening pair. The pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi have destroyed the opposition bowlers in the powerplay overs. The fearless batting of these two has made the job of the middle order much easier. Dhruv Jurel has strengthened the team at number three. However, the middle order led by captain Riyan Parag has not faced any major test so far, which the Hyderabad bowlers may try to capitalize on.
Sandeep Sharma and Tushar Deshpande have provided good support along with the fast bowling of Joffra Archer and Nandre Berger. Ravi Bishnoi has played an important role in the spin department by taking nine wickets, while the attack has become stronger with the arrival of Ravindra Jadeja.

Sunrisers’ instability becomes a challenge
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s performance this season has been full of ups and downs. The team has lost three out of four matches, due to which it is under pressure. Fast starts are expected from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma but the lack of consistency is clearly visible. Captain Ishan Kishan has also not been in form after the initial match. In such a situation, Heinrich Klaasen has proved to be the most reliable batsman for the team.
The absence of Pat Cummins in bowling is hurting the team. Bowlers are struggling to contain opposition batsmen, especially in batting-friendly conditions. If Sunrisers have to make a comeback in this match, they will have to put in a collective performance by taking early wickets.
