Association with BJP called ‘historical mistake’
As soon as he joined TMC, Chandra Kumar Bose launched sharp attacks on his former party. He left BJP in September 2023 citing ideological differences. Now he openly said that joining BJP was a historical mistake of his life. He alleged that the BJP’s only aim is to create division and polarization among the people to win the elections.
While expressing his views on social media, Bose said that I cannot fight communalism through communalism. If the aim of any party is only to divide the society, then I cannot stay there. He appealed to all communities and workers of India Alliance to unite to save the structure of the country.

He called upon the progressive people of Bengal to stand up to save their democratic power.
election battle intensifies
Voting is to be held in Bengal on 23rd and 29th April, the results of which will come on 4th May. In the 2021 elections, TMC won a thumping majority by winning 213 seats, but BJP also emerged as the main opposition party with 77 seats. In such a situation, changing sides of a face like Chandra Kumar Bose can have an interesting impact on the results of the upcoming elections.
