Ruturaj Gaikwad gets a big shock after CSK’s victory, will have to pay a heavy fine
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been fined : After three consecutive defeats in IPL 2026, Chennai Super Kings finally opened the winning account on Saturday. The team registered its first win by defeating Delhi Capitals by 23 runs. After which CSK has moved up one place to 9th position. But, after this victory, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been lashed by the IPL.

Actually, IPL has imposed a heavy fine on CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. This action has been taken to slow over-rate. According to the IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been fined after his team failed to match Chennai M.A. Maintained a slow over-rate during the 18th match of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against Delhi Capitals at the Chidambaram Stadium. Since this was his team’s first offense of the season under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct (which deals with offenses involving minimum over-rate), Gaikwad was fined Rs 12 lakh.
Talking about the match, in this match played on Saturday at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Delhi Capitals won the toss and chose to bowl. After which CSK scored 212 runs in 20 overs thanks to Sanju Samson’s unbeaten inning of 115 runs. In response to which they got bundled out after scoring 189 runs in 20 overs.
