Tere Bin 2’ officially announced: Wahaj & Yumna set for return in 2026

Pakistani blockbuster drama Tere Bin is officially returning with its much-awaited second season, bringing back popular stars Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi in lead roles.

According to recent updates shared by television critic and RJ Dr. Ejaz Waris on Instagram, Tere Bin 2 is scheduled to begin shooting in June 2026. The project will once again be produced under 7th Sky Entertainment, with Siraj ul Haq returning as director.

The original drama, which aired in 2023, became a massive hit for Geo TV, running 58 episodes and reportedly crossing billions of views worldwide. Its final episode alone gained over 100 million views, making it one of the most-watched Pakistani dramas in recent years.

While the director remains the same, there has been a key change in the writing team. This time, Nooran Makhdoom will not be part of the project, following criticism she faced regarding certain storylines in the first season.

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Many expressed excitement over the reunion of Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi, calling the pair a “powerful on-screen duo” with the potential to recreate the magic of Season 1. Others, however, remain skeptical due to previous delays and unconfirmed reports surrounding the project.

Some fans also raised concerns about scheduling conflicts involving the director’s other commitments, questioning whether the timeline is realistic.

Earlier, Pakistani host and actress Javeria Saud has issued a public apology to Yumna Zaidi following backlash over a segment aired during her Eid show.

The controversy began when a segment featured on the show incorrectly displayed Yumna Zaidi’s childhood photograph, which was not actually hers. During the segment, Javeria Saud was seen reacting with laughter, which viewers criticized as age-shaming and insensitive.

Yumna Zaidi responded to the incident in a composed manner through her social media, clarifying that the image used was not authentic and describing the situation as a case of identity misrepresentation. Her response was widely appreciated by fans and followers.

Following the public reaction, Javeria Saud addressed the issue and apologized, stating that the mistake occurred due to an error from her production team and expressing regret to those who were hurt by her remarks.
