The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued yellow warning for hot and humid conditions in Odisha for seven days.
As predicted by the weather department, the hot and humid conditions in the state will continue till 8.30 of April 19. Check the day-wise warnings:
Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of April 13):
- YELLOW WARNING: Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Dry weather very likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 13 to 8.30 of April 14):
- YELLOW WARNING: Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Dry weather very likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 14 to 8.30 of April 15):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the district of Bargarh and Balangir.
- Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Light to Moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 15 to 8.30 of April 16):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the district of Bargarh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
- Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Light to Moderate rain or thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
Day 5 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 16 to 8.30 of April 17):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the district of Bargarh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur.
- Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Dry weather very likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha.
Day 6 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 17 to 8.30 of April 18):
- YELLOW WARNING: Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
- Dry weather very likely to prevail over all the districts of Odisha.
Day 7 (Valid from 8.30 AM of April 18 to 8.30 of April 19):
- YELLOW WARNING: Hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
