Accusing Iran of ‘extortion’, Trump said – US Army will completely siege Hormuz with immediate effect.
Washington. US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of ‘extortion’ and announced that the US Navy will begin a complete siege of the Strait of Hormuz with immediate effect and this siege will not open until Iran gives up its nuclear ambitions.
Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social that Iran had promised to open this international waterway, but deliberately did not do so. This has caused concern and trouble to countries and people around the world. The US President said that Iran is not ready to give up its nuclear ambitions. But it will never have nuclear weapons.
According to Trump, Iran is scaring the world by showing the fear of having mines (tunnels) in the water, but America will never bow down to any such extortion. The US Navy has been instructed to intercept all ships in international waters that have paid illegal tolls (taxes) to Iran. Any vessel paying illegal toll will not be given safe passage.
The US President warned that if any Iranian fired on US forces or peaceful ships, they would be completely destroyed. He said that other countries will also join this siege. Mr Trump claimed that Iran’s navy, air force and radar systems were already useless. He also said that his army is ‘locked and loaded’ and he is ready to destroy the remaining part of Iran.
The US President said that an important meeting was held with Iran under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad, Pakistan. This meeting lasted for about 20 hours. Mr Trump said that US Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner discussed in detail with Iranian representatives, but could not agree on many points in the meeting.
