After talks with Iran failed, US President Trump announced blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

Washington, April 12. US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the US Navy will begin a blockade of ships entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz after negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program failed.

“Most of the issues were resolved during the recent talks, but the only issue that really matters – the nuclear issue – was not resolved,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. He accused Iran of creating uncertainty in the strait by indicating the presence of sea mines, and termed it world extortion.

‘The ship that pays illegal fees, He will not find safe passage in the open sea

The US President said in the X Post, ‘I have also instructed my Navy to search and stop any ship present in international waters that has paid any toll to Iran. Anyone who pays illegal fees will not get safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin to destroy the tunnels that the Iranians have laid in the strait. Any Iranian who shoots at us or peaceful ships will be completely destroyed! Iran knows better than any other country how to end this situation, which has already devastated their country.

US Navy to remove mines allegedly laid in waterways

Trump further said that the US military would intercept ships suspected of paying tariffs to Iran, and begin removing mines allegedly laid in the waterway. He also warned of strong military retaliation against any hostile action.

Other countries will also join the blockade of Hormuz

The US President also said in his post, “Their navy is destroyed, their air force is destroyed, their anti-aircraft and radar are useless, Khomeini and most of their ‘leaders’ are dead – and all because of their nuclear ambitions. The blockade will begin soon. Other countries will also join this blockade.”

Iran will not be allowed to profit from illegal coercion

Trump said, ‘Iran will not be allowed to profit from this illegal coercion. They want money and, more importantly, they want nuclear capability. “Furthermore, and at an appropriate time, we are fully ‘locked and loaded’, and our forces will destroy whatever little is left of Iran.”

Iran held responsible for Hormuz crisis

Trump also accused Iran of failing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. After the failure of nearly 20-hour-long talks in Islamabad, he warned that it would lead to continued disruptions around the world and deepen tensions.

Trump said on Truth Social, ‘Iran had promised to open the Strait of Hormuz and it deliberately did not do so. This situation has caused concern, turmoil and suffering around the world. He alleged that uncertainty over possible mines in the sea has halted the movement of ships, even though Iran’s naval capabilities have been damaged.

Iran not ready to give up its nuclear ambitions

Referring to the nearly 20-hour long talks, Trump said progress made on many fronts was overshadowed by one key disagreement. He said, ‘Only one thing matters – Iran is not ready to give up its nuclear ambitions!’

‘I have always said – Iran will never have nuclear weapons’

He said, ‘It is not surprising that my three representatives became very friendly and respectful with the Iranian representatives – Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araghchi and Ali Bagheri – throughout the talks. But it did not matter because he was not ready to budge at all on the most important issue. And as I have always said – from the beginning, and for many years now – Iran will never have a nuclear weapon!’
