New Delhi: Asha Bhosle’s demise has left the entire music community in deep mourning. Famous singer Sonu Nigam, who worked with him, is also deeply affected by this tragic incident. He has shared some special pictures on Instagram paying tribute to Asha ji.

Sonu Nigam wrote in his post, “Today the curtain fell on one of the greatest singers of Indian film music. The last remaining warrior of the pioneering era retired today. She faced many ups and downs throughout her life and that is what made her so great.”
He further added, “From the time I met and sang with Asha ji for the first time in 1994, to our last concert in December 2024, this is a journey I will always remember with pride and joy.”
Addressing Asha Bhosle, he wrote, “You have gone but your heart is not yet filled…will meet you on the other side. Om Shanti.”

Asha Bhosle died on 12 April 2026 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital after cardiac arrest on the night of 11 April. His mortal remains are being brought home, where people will be able to pay their last respects. Asha Bhosle’s last rites will be performed with state honors on April 13 at 4 pm at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.
