Handbook released for teachers and students

The handbook based on CT and AI curriculum has also been made available on the academic portal of CBSE. The curriculum aims to develop students’ ability to think logically, solve problems systematically, find patterns and understand the ethical use of AI.

These handbooks are designed to be used in conjunction with the Maths Textbook, not as textbooks for classes 3 to 8. So that students can follow the chapter sequence like mathematics. Before starting the chapter, teachers are advised to review the content of the book, identify the underlying concepts required for each question and plan how it will integrate with classroom teaching.

Be sure to know these new rules

A curriculum framework for CT and AI has been prepared for students from classes 3 to 8 with the aim of creating AI literate learners by 2030. AI, Ethics and Unplugged Learning have been mandated as part of a unified national curriculum from the Preparatory State onwards. All the remaining courses running till session 2025-2026 are being closed after class 9th, session 2026-27.

For session 2026-27, class 10 students will continue the scheme adopted in session 2025-26. NCERT will provide modules of City and AI for classes 9th to 12th for the session 2026-27, which will be used as internal assessment modules.
