Theft in Jaipur jewelery shop: absconding with 18 kg silver and gold

In the early hours, two thieves entered Vinayak Jewelers located in Chandpol area by breaking the channel gate and fled away after filling 18 kg of silver and 7 grams of gold jewelery in a bag. Police are searching for the accused through CCTV footage.

Jaipur : A major theft incident has come to light in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where thieves targeted a jewelery shop and stole jewelery worth lakhs of rupees. This incident took place in a shop located in Chandpole area in the early hours of Sunday, which has created a sensation in the entire area.

In the incident, the thieves entered the shop by breaking the channel gate and committed the crime by staying inside for about one and a half hour.

According to the police, this incident of theft took place in a shop named Vinayak Jewellers, which is located near Khasakothi Pulia. Shop owner Balram Soni (46) has lodged a report at Sadar police station.

According to the information, the thieves first tried to break the safe of the shop, but they could not succeed. After this they targeted only the jewelery kept in the counter and showcase.

The entire incident was carried out so carefully that the thieves stayed inside the shop for about one and a half hours and easily ran away after collecting the goods.

In the police investigation, the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the shop has proved to be the most important evidence. It is clearly visible in the footage that two accused enter the shop at around 2 o’clock in the night.

Police investigation intensified, teams formed

As soon as information about the incident was received, Sadar police station reached the spot and started investigation. Authorities have collected fingerprints and other evidence from the crime scene.

ACP (Sadar) Dharamveer Singh said that the accused are being identified on the basis of CCTV footage. Considering the seriousness of the matter, DST and special team have also been deployed in the investigation.
