Big decision on overtime and weekly holidays

The biggest decision in the meeting was taken regarding overtime. Now, if any worker is made to work more than the stipulated time, it will be mandatory to pay him double the rate and no deduction can be made in it. Apart from this, it has also been made mandatory to give weekly leave to every worker. If for some reason work is done on Sunday, then payment for that day will also have to be made at double rate, so that the rights of workers can be protected.

The administration has also issued clear instructions regarding salary and bonus. It will be mandatory to pay lump sum salary to every worker by the 10th of every month and salary slips will also be made available to everyone. At the same time, as per rules, the bonus will be paid directly into the bank accounts of the workers till 30th November. The objective of these arrangements is to provide economic security to the workers and to prevent any kind of delay or irregularity.

The administration has also adopted a strict stance regarding safety and respect at the workplace. All industrial units have been instructed to mandatorily constitute a committee for prevention of sexual harassment, whose chairperson will be a woman. The administration has clarified that it will be the responsibility of each unit to ensure respectful treatment of workers.
