When will Amarnath Yatra start, how to register, know the complete process
Amarnath Yatra is very important in Sanatan Dharma. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has made an announcement regarding this yatra. The Lieutenant Governor has said that in 2026, the Amarnath pilgrimage will start from July 3 and end on August 28. That means this year the Amarnath pilgrimage will last for 57 days. The decision for the pilgrimage was taken in the meeting of Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB). During that time, lakhs of people are going to come to Amarnath Yatra.
Lakhs of people come here during the Amarnath pilgrimage to see Lord Shiva. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has done some work to facilitate this journey. The roads of Pahalgam have been widened and paved so that people can move easily. People have many questions regarding this journey, like how to register for this journey. Besides, the question also arises as to what age people can register for this journey.

How to register?
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said that registration will be mandatory for this yatra. The registration process will start from April 15, in which people between 13 years to 70 years can register. This process will take place in both online and offline mode.
How to register?
Offline Registration- Registration can be done through many banks across the country like Jammu and Kashmir Bank, SBI, PNB and Yes Bank.
Online Registration-People can register online with the help of their phones. For this, people will have to go to the official website of the Shrine Board, from where they will be able to register for their journey.

The first puja will be held on June 19.
The puja will be held on June 19, even before the Amarnath pilgrimage, because this day is Jyeshtha Purnima. The first puja will take place in the holy cave on 19th June. Many devotees are going to participate in this puja.
The journey will take two routes
This pilgrimage will take place through two routes. Where the first will be the traditional 48 km long Nunwan-Pahalgam route of Anantnag district. The other one will be the relatively shorter 14 km long but steeper Baltal route in Ganderbal district.
