Asha Bhosle death: Two great personalities of the Hindi music world, the nightingale Lata Mangeshkar and the veteran singer Asha Bhosle, may be no more in this world, but some such coincidences related to the demise of both the sisters have come to light which have become a topic of discussion among the people, especially seeing that there have been many similarities in the life and demise of both of them.

Lata Mangeshkar died on 6 February 2022 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where she was admitted after Covid infection, later she suffered from pneumonia and multi organ failure, due to which she breathed her last. Similarly, Asha Bhosle was also admitted to the same Breach Candy Hospital on 11 April 2026 after her health deteriorated, where she died due to chest infection and health complications, according to doctors, multi organ failure was the reason in her case too.

A big coincidence in the demise of both the sisters was that Lata Mangeshkar died on a Sunday, and similarly, Asha Bhosle also died on a Sunday, apart from this, both the sisters left this world at almost the same age, Lata Mangeshkar was 92 years old and Asha Bhosle also left this world at the age of 92.

Lata Mangeshkar had pneumonia and multi-organ failure after Covid infection, while in Asha Bhosle’s case, cardiac arrest was first reported, chest infection was later confirmed and ultimately doctors cited multi-organ failure as the cause of her death. In both the cases, multiple organs of the body stopped functioning.

Both Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle gave a new height to the Indian music industry with their melodious voice, both the sisters sang songs in different styles and created their own unique identity, while Lata Mangeshkar was called ‘Swar Kokila’, Asha Bhosle was known for her versatile singing, both ruled the film music for decades and gave countless hit songs.

After the demise of both sisters, there is a void in the Indian music world which is very difficult to fill, although their voices and the songs sung by them are still alive in the hearts of people, fans say that even though they are not among us physically, their sweet voices will always remain immortal.
